Your Lyfta Onboarding Journey

A warm and heartfelt welcome to the Lyfta community! We’re so pleased to be working with you and your school. Starting something new can sometimes feel a little daunting, but please know you’re not alone, we’ll be here at every stage to support you. This guide will gently walk you through your Lyfta onboarding journey, step by step.

Your Lyfta journey is like setting out on an adventure. Here are the milestones you’ll discover along the way:

Step 1: ✍️ Completing your onboarding documents
This guide will gently walk you through your Lyfta onboarding journey, step by step. Your onboarding journey begins with the onboarding documents, which you’ll have received via email through our onboarding tool, Arrows. These include everything you need to get started, including a short introductory video, the calendar to book some time with the Lyfta team, your questionnaire, guidance and helpful resources.

The questionnaire should only take about 10 minutes, but it’s an important step: it will help us understand your school’s priorities and what matters most to you. That way, we can tailor our support to your needs and make sure your Lyfta journey feels like the perfect fit.

Step 2: 🔑 Accessing your Lyfta account
It’s time to log in! You should have received a Welcome to Lyfta email with a link to set your password. After that, you’ll have full access to the platform. As Lyfta Lead you will have administrator access. This means that Lyfta Leads can set up accounts for colleagues so that they can join in too [instructions here]. When colleagues are added, they’ll receive their own welcome email with instructions.

If you don’t see your setup email, please don’t worry, school firewalls sometimes move it into the junk folder. If it’s not there, just let us know and we’ll happily resend it straight away.

Step 3: 👋 Join a kick-off call
The next step is joining a Lyfta Lead kick-off call. These sessions are a warm space to meet the Lyfta team, get a guided introduction to the platform, and receive bespoke support to align Lyfta with your school’s goals. You can book in a kick-off call here.

Step 4: 🎤 Launching Lyfta with your staff
A really important milestone is introducing Lyfta to your colleagues. The most effective and enjoyable way to do this is with a staff launch session, hosted live by our team. This 45-minute session is designed to build excitement, show staff how Lyfta works in practice, and share how it can be used across your school. You can book in a session directly here.

Step 5: 💻 Start teaching
Once your staff team feels comfortable, it’s time to begin using Lyfta with your pupils. We recommend starting small and consistent, ideally with a 20-minute slot each week. This could be during assemblies, a PSHE lesson, or regular form-time discussions. Step 6: 🌍 Continue your journey with ongoing support
Onboarding is just the beginning of your Lyfta journey. From here, you’ll always have the option to book in time with the Lyfta team whenever you’d like to ask questions, explore ideas, or discover new ways of using the platform. Whether you’d like to dive deeper into classroom practice and further implementation, or simply share how things are going, we’re here to support you.
